What is A Subluxation?
Any bone in the body has the capability of moving out of its normal joint position. When a bone has moved out of place, it can put pressure on a nearby nerve. When the nerve is pinched, it cannot communicate to the rest of the body the way it should be. When nerve communication is interrupted, back pain, neck pain, malfunction, or all 3 are the common result. This is called a Subluxation.
For Example: Picture a garden hose with water flowing out of it. If you pinch the hose while the water is turned on, the water cannot fully flow through the hose. This is what a subluxation does to a nerve. It impinges or puts pressure on a nerve, and the nerves vital energy cannot flow at 100% like it should be able to. Now, what happens when you free the kink of the hose? The water comes back at 100% force! Much like taking the pinch out of a garden hose, the chiropractic adjustment is what removes the subluxation from your body, thus removing the pressure from the nerve. The nerve force is no longer suppressed and is now able to communicate the way it should be, just like water flowing from an unkinked garden hose.
You are divinely designed to live without pain or malfunction. When you have a subluxation, your body cannot function the way it was meant to. The weight of a dime can decrease the function of a nerve by 60%. That is up to two-thirds of your nerve function gone when you are subluxated!
