What is A Subluxation?
A subluxation is when a bone has moved out of its normal position and in the process has irritated and inflamed a nerve. Subluxations can interrupt nerve signals, causing back pain, neck pain, malfunction, or all 3. In order to properly fix the back or neck pain, the subluxation must be removed by chiropractic adjustments.
For Example: Picture a garden hose with water flowing out of it. If you pinch the hose while the water is turned on, the water cannot fully flow through the hose. This is what a subluxation does. It impinges and inflames a nerve, and the nerve signals cannot flow at 100% like it should be able to. Now, what happens when you free the kink of the hose? The water comes back at 100% force! Much like taking the pinch out of a garden hose, the chiropractic adjustment is what removes the subluxation, taking the pressure off and removing the inflammation of the nerve. The nerve signals are no longer "kinked" and the nerve is now able to communicate properly with the rest of the body, just like water flowing from an unkinked garden hose. To put it into perspective,
The weight of a dime can decrease the function of a nerve by 60%. How much then does a subluxation reduce nerve function? Do you want to be walking around with your nervous system only working at 40% capacity? Or do you want it working at 100% capacity?
